Beauty and the Beast - Episode 1 - “Belle”

Belle loved books. And there was nothing she liked better than to stick her nose in an old tome and be whisked away to far off lands of romance and adventure.

And that’s exactly what she was doing right now: her face was buried in a voluminous book as she was perched on a high ladder in the Miralune Public Library.

Belle was the assistant librarian, a role she achieved by being the only other person who worked in the infrequently visited building besides the head librarian. But there was certainly no one more well-suited to the position: Belle had read every volume in the library, many of them two, three, or a dozen times. She could tell visitors about any book they were interested in and make spot-on recommendations.

Belle felt fortunate her town even had a library. Miralune was a small village in northeastern France far away from the hustle and bustle of Paris. Of course, not many people used it any more. Everyone seemed to be obsessed with new technology and had no interest in reading books. Belle couldn’t understand it: books could transport you to so many more fantastical places than technology ever could. She was determined to make everyone in her village fall in love with books again, even if it meant most people thought she was rather peculiar.

Belle smoothed out her blue skirt and glanced down. No patrons had entered since she climbed the fifteen feet to the highest stacks. Unfortunately, even when someone did enter, it was often a naughty boy like Gaston trying to look up her skirt while she was shelving books. He was certainly muscular and made many in the village swoon, but Belle didn’t think he had ever picked up a book in his life, except maybe as a weightlifting tool. Belle wanted someone she could cuddle and read with in front of a fireplace, not a braggart who constantly boasted about how good he was at expectorating. Gross!

Belle threw herself back into the book, imagining she was riding on daring dragons and fighting evil wizards.

She became so enchanted with the tale that she waved her free arm around, pretending she was a sorceress hurling fireballs.

Her exaggerated movements, however, threw her off balance. She tumbled backward off the ladder with a shriek.

Her skirt flared upward, exposing cute panties that matched her outfit.

She closed her eyes and braced for impact, but her body stopped before she hit the floor.

She peeked her eyes open: she was in the strong arms of Dumas, the head librarian. The gigantic book bounced off his head a moment later and clattered to the floor.

A blow to the head like that would have knocked most people unconscious. But Dumas was not most people. In fact, he wasn’t even a person.

“Oh, thank you, Monsieur Dumas,” she said as he set her down. She went up on her toes and kissed his metallic cheek.

Dumas was a robot, the only one residing in Miralune. He possessed a light gray exterior with jointed limbs similar to a human’s. His face, however, was very non-human: he had a rectangular metal plate for a head with two holes bored into it for his shiny eyes. He had no mouth, but his voice emanated from where one would be.

“Belle, it is quite dangerous to engage in acrobatic maneuvers while on a ladder,” he said.

“I know, I’m sorry!” she replied, retying her long chestnut hair behind her with a blue ribbon. “I can’t help it when I’m reading such a fascinating book.”

“But you think all books are fascinating.”

She clasped her hands together. “They are! They’re the most wonderful things in the world.”

Belle knew Dumas would have smiled if he had teeth. Instead, he patted her shoulder gently. “Yes. They are quite an ingenious invention.” The librarian had taken his name from the famous French author Alexandre Dumas, loving the writer’s daring tales of swashbuckling musketeers. “But did your location take you into the upper stacks in search of erotic material again?”

Belle gasped, putting her hand to her chest. “Monsieur! I would never read such books.” She turned away, so he wouldn’t see her blush. How did he know she took some of the more explicit material home with her? She thought she had been really sneaky about it. She went so far as to hide the books under her bed at home, even though she lived alone.

She retrieved the book from the floor, presenting one of its illustrated pages to him. “See? Dragons, sorceresses, and wizards!”

“Indeed,” Dumas replied. “That is one of my favorites as well.” He patted her head. “And do not worry, your penchant for eroticism will be kept confidential.”

He clomped off, leaving Belle with burning cheeks. Oh no, did Monsieur Dumas think she was a sneaky pervert? She tried to be a good girl. But she had desires, and naughty books seemed to be a safe place to explore those desires.

It was even more embarrassing because Dumas had been like a father figure to her ever since her parents died. He was her closest friend in the village. In fact, the only other friends she had were the ones she found in the fantastical worlds she read about.

She climbed the ladder again, more carefully this time, and reshelved the book. She glanced around to see if Dumas was in sight. Seeing the coast was clear, she snatched a naughty volume off the shelf and quickly descended, stuffing it in her satchel. There was no way Dumas could have noticed unless he could see around corners. Could robots see around corners? There was nothing in her research that would indicate they could. Belle had learned as much as she could to better understand her mentor and friend. Unfortunately, not everyone in the village was accepting of robots. So both she and Dumas were outsiders.

After her shift at the library, she strolled through town, precariously balancing several books in her arms, books she checked out just before Dumas closed up shop for the day. She was the library’s best patron and always had at least a dozen books checked out at the same time.

She found herself at The Rose, the village tavern. She was so engrossed in her dragon book she didn’t want to put it down to make a meal. Thus, she often ate in the tavern. It was boisterous, but that didn’t bother Belle. It had a cozy fireplace and good food, making it an ideal place to read.

One of the tavern’s waitresses, Emilie, set a bowl of steaming stew in front of her. “Watcha reading about this time?” she asked.

“Dragons!” Belle replied excitedly, yanking the server onto the wooden bench beside her. “Listen to this!” She recited a passage from the book about the protagonist soaring through the sky on the back of a crimson-colored flying beast.

Emilie smiled. “Well, I don’t know much about dragons, but I like the way you read it.” The waitress was one of the few in the village who thought Belle’s obsession with books was charming rather than weird.

“Thank you! Would you like me to read more of it to you?”

“Belle, if ya do that, I’ll be listenin’ to you all night and everyone will go hungry.”

The bibliophile blushed. “Oh, um, I guess I do get carried away sometimes.”

Emilie patted Belle’s arm. “Don’t worry, darlin’. When it’s not so busy, you can read me a whole chapter.”

Belle clutched the book to her breast. A whole chapter? No one had ever stayed in the vicinity long enough for her to do that. What a wonderful waitress!

Emilie rose halfway, then plopped back next to Belle. “Oh, I almost forgot. Did you hear about the Beast?”

“The Beast?!” Belle replied, her eyes widening in curiosity.

“Yup. Supposedly, there’s a magical castle that appeared in the forest and it’s guarded by a fearsome Beast who steals girls’ panties.”

“What?!” Belle glanced around to see if anyone was looking, then peeked under her skirt. Phew! Her panties were still there.

“No, silly,” Emilie told her. “He can’t magically steal your panties from afar. You have to go to his castle.”

“Ohhh, thank goodness. I just bought these. But has anyone actually seen this Beast?”

Emilie leaned in close. “Well, I heard it from a very reliable source.”

Belle leaned in even closer. “Who’s your source?”

“Le Fromage Chuchotant.”

“The Whispering Cheese?!” Belle replied incredulously. That was the village gossip paper full of outlandish rumors and tall tales. “The stories in there are just as fictional as the ones in my books.”

“Well, sure, but it’s gotta be right at least once. Plus, it said the castle has the largest library that’s ever been seen. Like ten times the size of the one here.”

Belle grabbed Emilie and shook her. “Ten times?!!!”

“B… B… Belle,” the waitress barely got out. “Yer gonna shake my boobs out of my top. And they’re barely in there as is.”

“I’m sorry!” Belle stopped shaking the girl. It was true her cleavage was barely contained. Emilie had explained she got bigger tips that way. Belle thought tips should be given for suggesting good books to read or helping someone become a noble scholar, not for shaking one’s bosom around. But she didn’t know much about the restaurant business.

Belle adjusted Emilie’s top, making sure her breasts wouldn’t escape. “I have to find that castle!”

“But I thought you said it was made up and stuff,” the server replied.

“Even if there’s a one percent chance of that library existing, I must investigate!” Belle stood and slammed her book shut, showing she meant business.

Emilie hopped up from the table. “Okay, just bring extra panties.”

“Right! Thanks!” She almost scooted away, then remembered she hadn’t touched her food. “Is it okay if I take this to go?”

“Sure thing, darlin’. Just don’t forget to bring the dishes back or I’ll get hollered at.”

“I promise I won’t forget. I’m off to find a Beast!” She balanced the bowl on top of her stack of books, even more precariously than before, then navigated the bumbling bodies on her way out the door.

She had quite the adventure before her.

Belle set out the next morning on Chaucer, her steam-powered robot horse. She wore brown riding boots, tan pants, and a white long-sleeved shirt. A blue cloak was clasped around her shoulders, the hood pushed back to reveal her long locks falling down her back.

Two satchels hung on either side of the saddle: one filled with supplies, the other with books. Belle often read while riding. Chaucer could navigate without much input.

She also had packed extra panties just in case the rumors about the Beast’s penchant for girls’ undergarments was true.

She had no idea where she was going, but how hard could it be to find a magical castle?

Harder than she thought. It was past mid-day before she knew it, and she hadn’t discovered anything except a bunch of cute woodland critters.

She made her way to higher elevations, chomping on a cheese sandwich Dumas had packed for her. The head librarian had tried to talk Belle out of going. He thought it was too dangerous. Belle enjoyed his paternal fretting, but nothing could stop her when she was on a mission to discover new books!

“Where the heck could this castle be?” she asked Chaucer.

The steam-powered horse snorted, telling Belle he had no idea. Belle had come to learn robo-horse speak. Robots were her best friends after all.

As if her words were filled with magic, the trees parted, revealing a magnificent castle atop a cliff. It was the grandest structure Belle had ever seen, easily dwarfing all the buildings in her village. It was full of tall towers, powerful parapets, and soaring spires.

A chill descended once the castle came into view. Belle raised her hood and clasped the cloak around her.

Chaucer whinnied, hesitant to advance.

“Don’t worry,” she said, patting his metal mane. “You don’t have any panties for the Beast to steal.” If there’s one thing Belle knew, it was that robot horses didn’t wear underwear.

She gave him a gentle nudge, and he reluctantly trudged up the hill.

As they got closer, Belle noticed the castle was in a state of disrepair. It was still a breathtaking sight, but it was obvious it hadn’t been tended to in some time. Did anyone actually live here? Or was it abandoned? Belle was determined to find out.

She dismounted Chaucer and led him to the stables. No other animals were present. In fact, Belle hadn’t noticed any wildlife at all since they entered the castle’s domain.

She petted her steed affectionately. “You stay here and protect my panties. I’m going to look inside.”

Chaucer gave a snort that told Belle he thought that was a bad idea but that he would safeguard her undergarments. He was a noble companion!

She took a deep breath and headed for the entrance to the forbidding abode.

Two enormous oak doors loomed above her, each fitted with a rusted brass knocker.

She took one and, with some effort, got it to move. She rapped on the door, the sound seeming to reverberate through the entire forest.

There was no answer.

She tried again but still no response.

She sighed and leaned against the door, wondering if her journey had been pointless.

The door opened inward, and Belle fell backward with a yelp.

She thudded onto the castle floor, staring straight up at the high-vaulted ceiling of the foyer.

She picked herself up and pushed back her hood, taking a few hesitant steps inside. “Um, hello, is anyone here?” Her voice echoed off the cavernous walls.

She took a few more steps. The castle was dark, and it was hard to make out shapes. The shadows seemed to dance like they were alive.

“I came to see all the books in your amazing library. Though, um, if it’s okay with you, I’d like to keep my panties.”

A blur zoomed by her, rustling her hair. She brushed the strands out of her face and realized her cloak was gone.

“Hey! That was my favorite cloak!”

Another blur and her top was ripped off.

“Ack!” she cried, covering her bare breasts.

Three more brown blurs and her leggings were ripped to shreds, leaving her clad only in her light blue panties.

“Eek!” she squealed, spinning around and trying to locate the sneaky clothing thief. “Who’s stealing all my clothes?”

“I am,” a deep, foreboding voice boomed from the darkness.

Belle took a step back. “W… well, you better not take my panties.”

Another gust of air whipped her hair across her face as her panties were torn off.

“Oh my goodness, I’m totally naked!” She tried to cover her naughty parts, but there were too many of them on display.

“That is as it should be,” the voice rumbled. “All maidens should be nude, especially one as beautiful as you.”

“Hey! You can’t just… um, wait, beautiful?” Belle surveyed her garmentless body. She had nice round, firm breasts and a figure that curved in all the right ways. But she had never really thought of herself as beautiful. And she was always so engrossed in books she would never have noticed if villagers had been ogling her. Except maybe Gaston. But he ogled all the girls in town. “Oh, well, thanks, that’s nice. But you can’t just go around stealing girls’ panties!” She put her hands on her hips and thrust her tits out, showing she meant business.

The voice chuckled. “You are quite attractive when you are angry.”

Belle glanced at her erect nipples sticking out and immediately covered up. The chill air coming through the open door was doing a number on her nips.

She turned around, concealing her chest. “Don’t you know it’s rude to stare at a girl’s breasts. Um, at least without asking permission.”

“This view is even better,” the voice replied.

Belle peeked over her shoulder. The castle voyeur was apparently now ogling her butt. Belle never knew her derrière was so enticing. She was tempted to wiggle it, but she knew she should be a good girl.

“You’re not being a very good host,” she told the unseen figure. “First, you strip me. Now, you’re hiding in the shadows.”

“I do not need to be a good host to someone who has trespassed in my castle,” the voice replied gruffly.

Belle turned and tapped her lips. She supposed she was trespassing. “Oh, um, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to trespass. I heard you have the most amazing library ever and I wanted to see all your wonderful books!” She clasped her hands together, which squeezed her impressive bosom and made it look even bigger.

“You came here to see books?” the voice asked in surprise.

“Of course! Books are the most wonderful things in the world!” She spun around in a daydream, fantasizing about all the interesting places she might read about in the castle library.

That also had the effect of putting her entire nude body on display, which made the hidden figure chortle in appreciation. But Bell was so engrossed in her book-loving reverie she didn’t even notice.

“Very well. You may see my library.”

“Really?” Belle hopped up and down excitedly, once again not realizing bouncing breasts were a huge turn-on to owners of dank castles.

“Yes. But you must remain naked while you peruse the books.”

Belle rubbed her chin for a moment. “Deal!” If being naked meant she got to see more books than she had in her entire life, she’d become the biggest nudist anyone had ever seen.

She scanned the shadows. “But can you stop hiding and show yourself to me?”

“Do you want to see the library or not?” the voice huffed.

“Eek! Yes, I want to see it. Sorry!”

“It’s through the door to your left.”

Belle hurried over, not caring if the castle owner was peering at her jiggling butt. She needed to see this library!

She threw open the doors and gasped.

Before her lay the largest collection of books she had ever seen. There were more shelves than she could count and they reached as high as the ceiling of the cavernous room.

“This is the greatest day of my life!” she squealed, rushing to the nearest bookcase and selecting one of the tomes. “I haven’t read this one, or this one, or this one!” she exclaimed, tearing through the selection of books like the kids in Miralune tore through candy during the Moon Festival.

She zipped between bookcases, determined to look at every book housed in the massive library.

“What on earth are you doing?” the voice called from the doorway. The figure was still shrouded in shadow, but Belle was too focused on the books to look at him anyway.

“Trying to look at every book here!” she replied.

“You do not have to do that all in one day.”

“Wait? You mean I can visit the library anytime I want?”

“Well,” the voice grumbled. “As long as you’re naked.”

“You really like nude girls, huh?”

“Yes. Especially ones with such perky behinds.”

Belle glanced over her shoulder, realizing she was on her knees, bending forward and putting her cute tush on full display for the castle owner.

She shrugged. If staring at her booty made him happy and let her peruse the books to her heart’s content, she’d wiggle her butt all day. Which she presently did.

That elicited a satisfied sigh from the figure. Belle was learning just how powerful her ass was.

She spotted an especially enticing volume on one of the upper shelves.

She wheeled a nearby ladder into place and scrambled up it.

“Don’t climb that!” the voice ordered.

“Too late! I’m already up here.” Belle had gotten quite nimble at going up ladders. “Don’t worry, I do this all the time at the library I work at.”

“You are a librarian?”

“Uh huh. In Miralune. It’s a nearby village.” She yanked the volume from the shelf. Ooh, it had elves on the cover. Score!

“So… you can read, then?”

“Of course I can read, silly. Learning to read is the greatest gift we can be given.”

“Mmm,” the unseen figure muttered while Belle perched precariously on the ladder while she excitedly flipped through the book and made exaggerated arm movements to go along with the story. “Stop flailing around up there. You’re going to fall.”

“Oh, I’m fine. I have excellent balahhhhhhhhh!” She tumbled off the ladder just as she had done earlier in the day. She really had to learn to keep her reading activities at ground level.

She had been even higher up than at her own library, so she knew this fall was really going to hurt, especially if the huge book she had been holding fell on top of her.

But Belle’s cute butt was saved once again! Strong arms caught her, and she cuddled against the massive chest of her savior.

“Thank you for catching m…” She trailed off as she gazed up at the previously unseen figure.

It was a massive robot!
